Fourteen years of designing spaces that change lives.
"We don't decorate spaces. We craft environments that resonate with the people who live and work within them."
— Adaeze Emenike, Founder & Creative Director
VerdeSpace was founded in 2011 by Adaeze Emenike, a graduate of the Architectural Association in London who returned to Lagos with a singular vision: to prove that world-class design wasn't exclusive to New York or Paris. It could — and should — exist on African soil.
Over the past 14 years, we've grown from a two-person studio in Yaba into a 32-strong team operating across Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, and Enugu. We've completed 340+ projects, earned 28 industry awards, and built a reputation as Nigeria's most trusted premium design practice.
Five principles that guide every decision, every project, every day.
Your vision is our brief. We listen deeply, ask the right questions, and never stop until the result exceeds your expectations.
We use only premium materials. We work with the best craftsmen. We refuse to cut corners — because your space deserves nothing less.
We prioritise eco-conscious materials, locally sourced resources, and energy-efficient design in every project we undertake.
We stay ahead of global design trends and bring fresh, original thinking to every brief — never recycling old ideas.
Honest pricing, clear timelines, and open communication at every stage. No surprises, no hidden fees, no excuses.
We celebrate Africa's rich cultural heritage in our designs. Every project carries a thread of Nigerian identity woven with global sophistication.
Talented, experienced, and deeply passionate about great design.
From a small studio apartment in Yaba to one of Africa's most respected design practices, here are the milestones that define VerdeSpace.
